Who We Are
Six26 Construction draws its name from the two elements that give steel its strength — carbon, the sixth element on the periodic table, and iron, element number 26. Headquartered in Amesbury, Massachusetts, we are a steel construction company partnering with general contractors and project teams on work across the Northeast. From a single structural connection to a complete steel package, we bring the same craftsmanship, accountability, and care to every job we put our name on.
High Quality & Safety
Two principles guide every project we take on: delivering the highest quality of work, and treating safety as essential at every step of the process. To meet both, we signed with Ironworkers Local 7 in 2022, bringing the skill and depth of the union’s tradespeople to the full scope of ironwork — bridge, structural, ornamental, reinforcing, pre-engineered metal buildings, architectural, heavy rigging, and welding.

Certifications
The American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) is the not-for-profit organization that sets the standard for structural steel design and construction in the United States. Working alongside architects, engineers, and contractors, AISC develops the specifications and codes that keep steel construction safe and efficient, while advancing steel as a sustainable, cost-effective, and resilient building material.
A Women Business Enterprise (WBE) is an independent company at least 51% owned, controlled, and operated by one or more women who are U.S. citizens or legal resident aliens, and formed and based in the United States or its territories.
The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program is a U.S. Department of Transportation initiative that gives small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals a fair opportunity to compete for federally funded transportation projects.
